I absolutely love this animated short film. Not only do I find it
hilarious, but it also retains a very realistic feeling while having
nonsensical undertones. For example, the smaller birds all have tiny
wings - so small they would not be able to fly. But it only makes sense
that birds can fly, so the smaller birds are able to flap three small
feathers to magically float in the air! But the thing that has me most
intrigued are the textures of the feathers themselves. The feathers on
both the small birds and the big one look so realistic to me.
Especially when the small birds fluff their feathers when settling on to
the wire, you can see every ruffle of their feathers. It almost
appears as though they were animated individually! I love the detail
that went into this short, and I love the comedy that goes with it.

I searched for some different short animated films and I came across a lot of good The first one I found is called "The Piano". It's sad and peaceful and has no dialogue to it but a lot is said throughout the short. I found it very entertaining
The other short I watched was "For the Birds". This is a very popular Pixar short. This one just makes you laugh and keeps you entertained the whole time. Again there is no dialogue. Both of these videos show you how strong animation can be because neither have dialogue but both have animation and stories that make you want to keep watching.

Pixar Short Films
Although most people have fallen in love with Pixar's feature films over the years, the short films that screen before the actual movies are equally as enjoyable. When I was on Pixar's website I found it really interesting that there is a short films section of the site that breaks down the story that the short is trying to tell, the characters, and some behind the scenes information.
One of my favorite Pixar shorts is For the Birds
When I read about the behind the scenes of For the Birds I found out that this short won an academy award. Also, it was difficult for animators to get the feathers of the birds to move like they actually do in real life.
Another short that I find the animation to be extremely interesting and realistic in is Partly Cloudy
