History of Titles
On Monday, our name title is doing. I was doing research to figure out what I wanted my brand to be and I came across this video about the history of movie titles. I found it very interesting and I thought I should share it with you all since we will have a project where we have to change a title. Take a look:
I find it so cool to see the progression of technology from the early 1900's to today. We went from still slides to actual cool animations. And just from the few classes that we've had so far I'm blown away what After Effects can do and we've barely touched it. As someone who has no artistic ability, it's cool to see that there are so many possibilities I can do with a program, even if I don't have the talent for it.

The Pink Panther
When I think about memorable title sequences, I can't help but think about the iconic title sequence for "The Pink Panther". It is one that launched the success of not only the movie, but it also created a morning cartoon series revolving around the character in the title sequence.
For those who are unfamiliar with this title sequence, it shows a cartoon pink panther who is something of a troublemaker. The pink panther plays around with the surroundings and tries to not get caught by the bumbling inspector who is after it. Here's the video for you to enjoy!
This title sequence is pretty special because it differs from the whole movie. The movie is live-action through and through, but the title sequence is all animation. It sets the mood of the movie up and it really draws the viewers attention to the people in the movie because the pink panther interacts with the names in a very fun way. This intro has always been something that I have loved and, in my opinion, it is truly timeless.

Movie Openings
Since our next project is creating an opening sequence for a movie I thought I would look up some of the more famous openings. I cam across this site that had 30 Unforgettable Movie Opening Sequences.
I am still not sure what movie I want to create an opening for but all of the sequences on this site were very interesting. They looked very hard to make but they are extremely well done. These make a very good first impression for the movie especially when I haven't seen all of them. Below are a few on the opening sequences I personally liked the best.
